Has anyone used the Kawahara center body mount #K-774? What body post are to be used with this plate? It doesn't look like it's made to use the oem mtx3 posts...? Anyone know?
Thanks

Cool, thanks. I already got the CF plate for the mount but no post was included. Did you trim off the hex shape off the bottom of the oem front body post?

You don't need Kawahara's mount to use a third bodymount, as you can see in the pic. Take out the screw that goes into the servo saver post, insert a long 3mm set screw into the bottom of a generic bodymount, about 15mm in length, then screw it in where the screw used to be. It actually places the third bodymount where you really need it-in the windshield instead of the hood of the car.

A question to you guys out there: have any of you tried Kawahara's SS clutch setup? Plusses and minuses?

Nice tip! Man I wish I would have seen that earlier today! I already bought the plate so I might as well just use it now...Maybe I'll take it back...
BTW: who makes those cool CF body supports you have connecting the two posts?
Thanks again!

K-Factory makes them, or rather made them. I don't know if K-Factory still exists. Our store carries all of their parts like alum pullies, etc. under the APC label-everything except the body mount braces I guess because they used to have the K-factory logo printed on them.

What is the advantage of using the third body mount? Do you still use the two front ones, or do you just use the one in front, and the two in the rear?

Default Solid Front Axle

I am selling off my MTX3 but I thought I would let you guys know that I also listed my complete solid front axle as well as other MTX3 parts. The unit uses the Kawahara piece to lock and those units are almost impossible to find right now. Check the For Sale forums.

Default 5th body post

the 5th body post is used to keep the bonnet section of the shell from distorting at speed allowing for better and consistent air flow and yes you still use the 2 front ones,i have included pic of mine simple but effective
