Kit builds nice and easy just like the buggy.

Mines sitting at 1,783g right now with upgrades. Titanium screw kit would finish off the weight savings but didn't grab a kit before the build.

Good luck finding wheels - anywhere.

Have any of you guys actually used Schumacher tires on a stadium truck? I got Proline closed cell inserts to go in mine and they don't quite fill out the tire. If you press on the tire tread you can feel it squeeze in about a 16th of an inch before it touches the insert.

Is this normal or do I need to order some different inserts?

Tires are "Vee 2" and Stagger Rib. Wheels are stock AE.

Thanks,
Chris

Schumacher offers some foam inserts (U6541) that work better with their tires than any closed cell inserts out there. We are mostly running either yellow stagger ribs or blue microspikes in the front with the Schumacher inserts, and blue microspikes in the rear either with or without inserts. That's on astroturf and on carpet.

Finished up my build and raced it Saturday. I found that I dropped my lap times by a full second vs my t4.2 on the same layout. The track is carpet so ideal for Mid-Motor. Our outdoor season starts this month so hopefully it will translate.

Also I weighed the truck at the track (race trim), and it came in at 1900grams. The balance was 51-49 left to right and 40-60 front to back. I have my shorty pushed all of the way back, but no weights added. The only upgrade was to use Lunsford Titanium Turnbuckles, everything else was from the kit. I used the Thielke setup and dropped the ride height to 18mm. It was too low and raised it up to 21mm, may need to go up a little more but it felt great. Our outdoor is quite loose and uneven, so hopefully some good setups come out for those conditions.

What does the truck do to cause you to want to raise ride height?
