IMO the jammin jpx21 is the best bang for your buck. also an engine that has been mentioned is STS, i had and STS d21t that i bought used and i was very pleased with it but parts are hard to find. however i think any engine will last as long as you take care of it. i also bought an GRP engine used that had 6-8 gallons already on it and i ran it for another 8+ gallons and it still run but the rod got alot of play on it and after GRP shut down i didnt see the point in fixing.

O.S. Speed all the way
I'd have to say O.S. Speed VII, is one of the best motors out there, I have ran just about every motor you can get your hands on. The novarossi comes in a close 2nd, The +4 is an amazing motor, but always had wierd flame out issues, and its not just me, the pros were flaming out left and right at nitro cross with the, for no reason at all. When it comes down to engine life, ease of tuning, fuel mileage, and consistency, speed all the way, Plus, you can pick them up for about 430 shipped on rcmushroom(when they have them in stock) I run the blue head vzb(not the pro mod) for practice and club race motors, I usually get about 7 gallons on those and then do pinch, bearings and rod, and they are good as new.

I Have had great results with the Orion CRF Wasp US spec. Excelent low end power, and very respectable high end. I keep up with the OS's on refuels and maintenance is limited to cleaning. Price around 350. No mods, no tricks, just a decent motor that's gotta lot of power.
