Default Who tapes the inside of their bodies? i

I'm wondering if it will help keep the body from cracking as easy or any other adv/disadvantages..

+1 on drywall tape/mesh with shoe glue or other synthetic glue, really helps to keep the crack from spreading. Put it over the front bumper and top of wheel arches.

i also tape around the mount holes with fibre tape to prevent the pins from scratching the paint off.

Generally no I don't except for 1/8th onroad bodies. There are spots that rub the body like the front bumper, rear body mount, etc. and scratch them all up so I put a bit of tape in those spots to prevent scratches.

Sometimes I might put a bit of fiberglass tape and shoe goo in the front fender corners to prevent or repair cracks.

I have actually been using a 1mm thick neoprene its kind of like wetsuit material. With some areosol adhesive it works great because it's moldable into every corner. Really keeps rocks n such from messing up an expensive paint job and helps keep the body from cracking. I do this on 1/5th scale bodies and suprisingly it adds very little weight.

Racer tape....aka....duct tape. With the right application, a teddy bear will go 100mph when duct tape is applied by a pro.

Drywall tape and shoo goo works but adds entirely too much weight that high up on the car. The TOP aluminum tape is the way to go.

Is this stuff much more stronger than Shoe Goo? I need something stronger for Short Course truck bodies.
