Tekin RS ESC sensored
Tekin ESC controls
Hey Randy, Whats the chances that tekin will make an app to hook my Iphone or droid to the esc to make changes at the track.

You guys have been saying for 4 years now that the new software makes the Tekin "feel like an LRP." But it never does, you still have to pull the trigger 50% before the power kicks in like a light switch. Have you really finally figured it out? I don't want to waste time mounting one up in my car if it's still got the wiper ESC feel.

I'm confident the feel is better. You'll have to drive it for yourself.
Blue tooth means adding either another module to the car or making a larger esc, neither of which we're to happy with.
We still feel the app is viable. Understand though none of the phones still allow for host control as an option.
We are not looking to please a small handful of drivers or people. We are looking to please the majority of them.

I say forget the blue tooth part. Its not worth the headache plus with bluetooth people could be changing settings on the move. I would be happy with a wired connection and I would be willing to pay for the software if the price was reasonable. Just wish I didnt have to bring my computer to the track.

Compatibility with Super High Response function of M11X?
As stated in the title, would anyone happen to know whether the Tekin RS/RS Pro is compatible with the SHR function of the M11X?
Appreciate..thx!!

Hey guys, I recently purchased a Team EPIC D3 "Monster Horsepower" 13.5t to run in a boosted touring car class. I'm using a Tekin RS as a speedo.
I've got a problem where I have excessive 'drag' brake during corner entry. I quote 'drag' since I have no drag brake specified on the speedo. The only thing I can think of is that the motor itself is causing the drag. I've noticed that there's quite a bit of 'cog' in the motor when you rotate the wheels by hand - strong magnets, I assume.
I'd like the motor to run a bit freer; my first thought was to add some push control, but it (strangely enough) didn't have any effect. I know in 1/12 that push control works extremely well, allowing the car to roll through the corners better. However, it doesn't seem to have much effect with the D3.
Anyone have any suggestions? The drive train runs free, so I don't think the issue comes from that.
Thanks!
(I'm also going to post this on the DUO 3 thread, just in case someone there doesn't read the Tekin forum. Apologies if this offends).

It can also be your gearing doing it (or perhaps a combination of the two). A very short gearing (high FDR) can give a natural drag brake feeling. With another speedo (not Tekin) I am currently running 17.5T boosted with an FDR of 7.2. When I let off the throttle, the car stops quite quickly, even though drag brake is set to 0 in the speedo, and the motor have quite weak magnets.

I can't mess around with spur gear/pinion combinations much, since there's only two spur gears that are available for the TC6, and I'm already running the biggest one...

I have had a similar poblem with the X12 13.5 at high FDR.
I used push control and it was almost gone.
Car is much smoother to drive and it rolls much better true corners.
It also depends on how much mechanical timing your running on the motor.
With high timing on the motor it runs a bit smoother then with low timing on the motor.
This was with the X12 LRP motor.
Now i use the stock timing insert on the motor and 15 to 20% push control.
