we also tried the 2015 pipe with the PICCO conical header which gave us a little bit more top end, and we also tried the 2052 with a medium Nova Rossi conical manifold, it creates a lot more power but runtime was cut short,
2033 pipe set = good bottom end and making barely 5 minutes
2015 w/ PICCO conical manifold =more top end making 5 minutes
2052 w/ med NR Conical manifold = broader power band 4 to 4 1/2 mins. runtime
2052 w/ long NR Conical manifold = more bottom less top still less than 5 mins runtime

The 2033 pipe and Conical header set runs good with this engine at 301 raceway, we have personally tried it during the capitol classic race last June,

when switching fromm picco 2033 to nova 2052 pipe are there much tuning to the needles needed?????

Depending on the size of the header, which normally is a medium conical, you will need to richen the HSN to about 3 hours, also it will depend on what fuel you are using, to be safe I would richen it to about six hours, run for about 5 laps bringing the engine temperature up then tune it from there on.

How about the life span of this engine? I heard that picco engines are very
fast but the life span is short compared to nova's. The pinch goes easly away. Is that true? (Considering normal racing use)

Over the years (quite a few), I have found Picco engines to have very high quality materials and longer lasting than most. Carbs are often a problem, but not the engine itself.
Pinch means nothing. Compression is very important though. Off-road, I have gotten in excess of ten gallons through piccos. On-road is much tougher on engines though.

I am sorry to go OT here... But i am having a problem with one of my modded Picco's. I am running a modified P7 EVO 2, modified with advanced transfer timing and a 8 degree increase in rotor closing.... Anyways it seems my RPM tends to race when i let off the throttle...its especialy annoying when i am trying run smooth over the jumps.... The motor is acting like its lean on the LSN, but i have it running pretty dam rich on the needles..... I have even installed double sealed ceramic front bearing, I have sealed my needles, i have smoothed my carb slide, installed a strong TRS.... I am stumped, I beleive my head clearance is set to .027 " , i am running a OS P7 med plug, 086 tuned pipe... I am fairly new to Picco engines, and this has me stumped, i have done everything i can think of to no avail....

well it appears my front bearings seals are shot. She's leaking fuel like a fawcet..Unfortunately this bearing is a aftermarket ceramic bearing....I wont say what manufacturer till they have a chance to fix the issue... My original issue was a hanging throttle slide, it mimicked an airleak, so i replaced the front bearing ... I also fixed my sticking carb, but my new bearing must have been leaking right off the bat.......Anyways I re-installed the facotry bearing and the motor is running like a champ..... Extremely powerful for a .21, i am very happy with the P7's power...
