We will be running VTA at both the Vegas Warmup on Sept 17 and 18 and the Halloween Classic in Oct at The Gate. Now if we could just get Ian to run VTA at THE CHAMPS.

If you want to go about $100 cheaper route looks like the Sakura Zero S is getting some good reviews on here and I see them pop up on fleabay for $99 sometimes. Coupled with a reman Novak ESC and motor combo and you should be right around $200 for the package.

Default Chipotle race at Speedworld - Roseville/Sacramento, California

For anyone racing VTA in California, consider joining us on August 13th for the 3rd Annual Speedworld/Chipotle Grand Prix. 2011 is the first year we will run VTA at our Chipotle race! There will be prizes of free Chipotle food being given out - the best burritos and guac you can buy (or win via R/C racing!)

Since starting VTA a few months ago, we usually get at least 10 drivers in VTA for regular club races, I'm hoping for 20 or better on this race day. VTA is ALWAYS good racing at Speedworld.

We run a standard 25.5 VTA program with a 3.7 FDR limit.

question on tracks and fdr limits. like the post above states 3.7 fdr limit. ours is a 4.0fdr track but alot are electing to run slower 4.26-4.6. when there is a race like above and someone elects to run a fdr that is slower than the track number is that a bad thing with the rules?

not at all. The limit is just the number you can't go below, (so a 4.0 track, you can't run 3.9 or 3.8 or whatever) but you can go above (you can run 4.1 or 4.2 on a 4.0 track).

On our track (3.7 limit), a lot of guys play around in the 3.70-3.85 range depending on the track and driving preference etc.

Davidw said that we don't have an get limit looped. I asked a couple of weeks ago when I heard someone talking about running a 3.6. Turns out the 4.0 was just a suggested starting point. Although I kept mine there. Speed isn't my issue, the turns are.

Default Individual Mains

Guys here are the pdf files for each Asphalt Assault Main from this past weekend.

The results really do not do justice for the races. These cars and drivers did a phenominal job, as well there was no fdr limit. I would have to guess an average of 3.8 was used.

Is anybody out there runnig a TA-05 with the original suspension. If so I was wondering what your solution was to the ball cup rubbing on the inside of the front rims. Right now I'm using the 6 mm hexes but I really don't care for the way the car is turning in. I was thinking about shortening the toe blocks.

I have had this same problem and with the TA-05 kit I have, it used the TA-04 front C hubs. I added a set of ball studs into the inner set of holes on the hub and did the same on the bulkhead. It seemed to keep the geometry about the same, and I just cut the head off of the kingpin stud. Hope this helps.
