Default Thoughts on Traxxas 6x6

I own a few RC's Jato, Revo Platinum, HPI RS4, Axial Exo and Yeti. But have gotten bitten by the crawler bug and really like the 6x6 from traxxas.

any pros and cons?

upgrades?

PRO : you get parts for it the next 100 years
Contra : Traxxas electronics....probably the most outdated thing in crawling nowadays.

Thanks.. I’ll keep that in mind.. I usually swap everything. I have been a spektrum guy for a while. Now that I am jumping back in the hobby might go futaba.. but I think crawling is awesome.. there is a park by me Markham Park they have a great RC crawler course

I think they run good, but its also another axle to maintain.

Once you get the hang of driving it, it's extremely capable. I have some other electronics waiting, but my stock bits are still working fine after nearly 2 years. Think I got a ringer steering servo as it's still going strong, and feels stronger than my x4's for some reason.

Doesn't need much as far as hop ups. I put SSD brass up front and OD in front as well to help it turn. And some wheels and tires more suited to my terrain and a few odds and ends. Other than that, it's a complete tank like its smaller x4 siblings.

Small update, I've changed up the body. Not many options out there for the X6, probably it's only downfall in my mind. So you have to get creative!

The Traxxas 6x6 is a fantastic crawler, mine is bone stock except for the Traxxas BEC unit, and aluminum servo horn. Once my stock servo dies, I will be upgrading it. I run on 3s for a little more speed for trail running, but 2s is just fine for crawling.
