Default Tuned Pipe for SS

I have RS4 3 SS. I just finished building it, but haven't run it. For a first step for performance upgrade, I'm thinking about getting a NEW Tuned Pipe. I have two to choose from.

RB X12 Tuned Pipe

and
Novarossi high speed black pipe #51603

Which one should i get???

Oh yeah, the engine is .12SS which is made by OS. It has side exhaust and mounted on RIGHT side of the car. Then there is another question rise... both pipes are designed for LEFT engine mount. which means the pressure tube has to be mounted on the bottom side. Will this hurt the performance in anyway??? Thank you in advance.

They will scrape unless you mount the pipe kinda high off the ground. If you can, get the RDLogics pipe for right-side engines instead.

Two things to do to upgrade your exhaust; first port your manifold so the port on the engine matches the opening on the manifold, and second plug the hole on the bottom of the pipe with a screw and drill new hole on top for your pressure line, or else all the half burnt fuel/oil mixture will end up in your fuel tank. Tapping the hole is best but I just screwed the fitting in and it seems to work fine.

Sounds like a good idea. I would try it. The nova rossi and RB piep are much better than the hpi composite pipe.

unfortunately, my header got bent little bit. so the fuel leaks from the engine. most likely engine seems fine. but couldn't run it again due to bad glow plugs. is the THS pipe set compatible with .12SS engine??? also in general, RTR3 exhaust is compatable with SS exhaust??

what about RD Logics pipe set??? turbo OR not turbo?? i want more torque for better starting acceleration.

yes the RTR is compatible with the SS. For better starts get the Racing clutch to engage at a higher RPM
