All the atomics were fast and by the end of the day, they were pretty dialed. the problems that I had all day were the the links popping off after barely touching or lightly tapping. I saw other atomic racers break spool cups, shred cvd's.

Do you remember what parts you used to replace the ball links? I would rate the cars speed/handling very good but the reliability/durability poor.

If I can get the right end links, I think the car can be a force to reccon with

Rod,

Right now it seems that only HKShobbies has parts in the US. I takes a while to get parts.

If you need parts immediately, check with Ray K. He seemed to be fed up with the Atomic and even told me he may saw the chassis in half and throw it away
I'm hoping he was just frustrated and decides to keep the car.

A couple of shops in US had just obtained accounts with Atomic besides HKS. PM me with your location and I'll tell you where to get parts. Parts are not hard to get; just tell your LHS to stock them. Post here or PM me for technical support or warranty issues.

Guys - I got my vm2 pretty bullet proof. I will post the different parts I used in the next day or two along with some pics. 3-dee already sent me a pm about the observed issues. Sai Tam (Aka Atomic USA) and I will make sure to communicate them back to Atomic head quarters. The car is pretty fun. .. just a little fragile out of the box.

I'd love to see a picture of a broken cvd.

What bodies have you been running??

Thanks Hanulec!

post pics of your car too! We'll probably be able to pick out the alterations and mods that make your car almost bulletproof.

I've been running the Kawada 350z. Our club suggests any mini body except for touring car bodies (mazda6, accord) From the feed back I've heard about my car, the 350 is a touring body too. I'm told I'm running a cheater body, it's all in fun but 1/2 way true.
I'm really liking the ABC Porsche body and plan to get it. I just have to clarify if this too, is considered a cheater body at my local tracks.

after looking over my VM2 one more time I see the following modifications:

A. Upper suspension links (each)
1- XRay 302664 - T2 Ball Joint 5mm Unidirectional ; these are the parts with the 'dot' on them. i've used them on the inside upper camber links.

1- Team Associated TC5 Short (height) ball studs - 8mm or 10mm length (cannot remember) for use at the c-hub or rear hub

1- 3mm set screw - unknown length - to replace the turnbuckle

1- Team Associated ASC7230 T4/B3/T3 BALL END CUPS (12) - i cut these ball ends in order to make the link short enough to put 1-2 degrees of negative camber into the suspension. i rather cut these ends as they are cheap compared to the xray ones.

B. Steering Links (each)
1- Team Associated TC5 Short (height) ball studs - 5mm for use at the the steering knuckle

1- Team Associated ASC7230 T4/B3/T3 BALL END CUPS (12) - at the steering knuckle

1- kit turnbuckle

1- kit rod end

C. Shocks
1- 3mm x 10mm (i think) cap head screw to replace the grub screws holding the bottom on the shock ends to the lower suspension car

D. Front Spool
2 - XRay 305135 - T2'008 Composite Solid Axle Driveshaft Adapters (2) - to replace the Atomic Stock Units

E. Rear Diff
1 - XRay 34tooth diff from my old T2'008 - only swapped this unit in after the kit original diff screw broke

The Gold was molded into the shipping costs not the body. The bodies themselves are $21 only. SPR007-M6R and SPR002-M6R.
