From what I've seen is the shorty is more responsive, and more nimble. The saddle car is a bit numbed up and is definitely more predictable.

If you go the saddle route, be ready to dremel the steering post. Most motors don't fit. If you aren't ok with "mods" to the car: check to see if the motor works, change your motor, or go the shorty route.

would a 4200 battery be ok for racing only? We use 4200 in our 2wd and I use a 4850 in my SC6.

I'm sure this has been asked a few times LOL but what is a good diff weights to start with? Also what layout is most running for indoor smooth high bite clay tracks?

certainly. I run a 3800 shorty in mine with no fade after 6 minute mains.

Hey guys, I finally ran my buggy for the first time last weekend. This is my first 4wd buggy and I had a blast with it. My only complaint is that its very twitchy and was wondering what I could do to fix it?

I built it with the kit setup and knew I would probably be changing it quickly afterwards. I read this entire thread and felt like not many people liked it. I'm racing at my local carpet track and didn't know if I should try Ty's carpet set up?
