FOAM
Had my TC3 working really well last weekend. Followed what a couple of guys at my track were doing using the Dumas front hubs. Weren't any left in the store so I made some. Car works great, with Plaid front and Double Pink in the back, original front tower and middle hole on both towers. This was supposed to take a while to get used to but for me it was fairly easy to drive and quite fast.
I had fun so I was happy. Also put an SSG top deck on there so hopefully that will stop the car tweaking with the battery slots milled out.

Heres what I ended up doing:
I cut out a little hole in teh bumper, so that the AMB stays hidden underneath it. Then I made a peice a plastic with two holes to slide on the front body posts and kind of hold it down, and double sticky taped those down as well.

If you are going to put it there, be very careful of the routing of the wire. If your receiver is in the typical place, the wire will have to be run almost straight back from the bumper and that gets very close to the steering and shaft. Not good.
Also, if you take a real hard hit to a wall or other car you will be putting you new $65 trans at risk.

I see. Well the thing I dont like putting it on the steering servo is it doesnt look secure enough. Will the tape hold during a hard crash?

Heres a pic of what I did. The plastic is also double sticky taped to the bumper for extra sercurity. Will the transponder be harmed?
Ya I know its sloppy. The Best I could do with an Exacto, its temperary.

When u put the Losi XXX-S hubs on the rear of the TC3 are the ball ends suppose to be facing up when on the Losi hubs? b/c that's wut it looks like can only happen...

Yup, a smack to a board will go straight to your transponder. That foam bumper is very soft. Much softer than the Trinity and less affective without a wide plastic bumper like the new RPM.
Why are you so hell bent to have it there anyway?
About the Losi rear hub carriers: Yes, it make the ballstud vertical and you will notice to clear the shocks you will have to run the car short and trim your ballcup a bit. The links will also be at an angle. I don't think the angle makes any difference to handling. I've run my car with the Losi front spindles and rear hub carriers and I like it a lot.

wut do you mean "clear the shocks" and which hole do you put the ball end in? The one closer to the hubs or further away. Thanks a lot Dingus ...

I've been running the inner hole, but experiment and see what you like.
With the position of the ballstud on the Losi hubs being vertical, it moves the overall location to the rear. When you connect the camber link it will be at an angle to the rear. Did you install them yet? You will see what I mean when you do.

Did you mill out battery slots on the other side? How does it run?
