(very) newbie question about hardwiring
how are you guys discharging your cells if they are hardwired to the esc? it seems to me the only way this is possible is to make the wires extra long in order to place them in a tray. is this what you racers are doing, or do you use deans or powerpole connectors.

It is not a newbie or not newbie things, it is about right and wrong...
What is so hard about de-soldering a batteries...? 10 seconds of your time is too much...? or soldering a batteries back onto your ESC wire is a mission impossible to you...?
Do it right...remove the packs from your ESC and cars and put it on a discharge tray.

Just take a regular battery bar, and with needle nose pliars, or any tool, bend it to make a "L"
Than solder the longer part to the battery while the other part stands stright up like a "7" for a place to solder to

The point was, a newbie wouldn't know what a L bar is...or how to use one...
And to be honest, especially for a newbie, using Deans Connectors is probably the best way to go.............

Maybe you read my post wrong. The purpose of my post was to encourage experienced racers to use helpful information when it comes to helping out newbies. If you look over my posts, you'll notice I try to explain things well to those who aren't veterans. I use examples, personal experience/recommendations, pictures, links to the manufacturer, links to places to purchase. Try to keep in mind, for each post on here, there are probably 30x the amount of people who read it without replying. Many of whom are newbies. Therefore my suggestion is, if you are trying to help someone, take a minute more and do it more thoroughly.
