Kyosho America will have aluminum hinge pin braces available soon, hopefully within the next couple of months. The only thing slowing them down is waiting to get the actual product from Kyosho Japan.

Ben, any other new pieces besides the braces getting the aluminum treatment? Right now my buggy will be taking a breather til the June 23rd ROAR region 8 regional. I'd like to give it a complete look over and get all new parts on it in time for that race, but if new upgrades come out before then, I'd like to get them as well.
Also, have you run your car with both the universals and dog bones in the rear? Have you noticed any handling differences? I've kinda held off on getting the rear universals since there doesn't seem to be any part #'s out there to rebuild them!
Why make the universals rebuildable if you don't sell the axles, bones, and cross pins separate? I really like the construction of them, but Kenshu recently broke an axle on his rear universals... it's no longer usable since there aren't replacement axles. Is Kyosho releasing the parts to the universals any time soon?

Laterilus: I tested the 2 back to back.
The stock ones free up the rear of the car a little(mid-corner & exit), which tends to make the car feel as if it has more steering.
At Albion I am always searching to do that. As the track is such high bite.
Otherwise the car is too hook'd and you loose corner speed.
Kinda like the Losi universals vs. CVD's.

Laterilus- As Tres said, I like the dog bones alot more, seem to give alot more corner speed on high bite tracks. Once the outdoor season starts I will prob go back to the universals on loose conditions.
Im not sure on a axle rebuild kit, I just ordered several sets, but haven't broken any.

ok...i answered the dogbones question with a resounding THEY SUCK BALLS!
reason 1: The dogbones get chewed up by the outdrives at both ends due to the fact that the bone floats between the outdrive and axle. Upon full droop (when in the air humping), the outdrive chews the bone. You wont get this with the universals.
Reason 2: no other reason needed.

i believe, someone can correct me, that there are two bearings. so you have to have a solid shaft when running the front oneway.

You can pick up another set for $15 or less and have both front and middle oneways.

SpeedyPenguin: There's only two one-way bearings in the kit. You can buy them for $10-11 each, part number LA224. You will also need another outdrive for the one-way, part number LA223, $5.
