YOKOMO Touring Car BD-7

talking about diffs, Yokomo just came out with a new diff maintenance kit with red/orange o-rings.

This will relate to the lay shaft binding.
#3873
im using the yokomo 96 spur gear

Panaracer (Yokomo and HPI repackaged) and RW spur gears fit and come in all different sizes.

Ok so my point is if you are trying to use a different spur you have to be careful it is no thicker than the original, even slightly otherwise the button head screws protrude further out which pushes the pully further out and then you end up tightening the washer and screw against the bearing which causes the binding.
As for the guy having problems using a panaracer spur I have no idea, have you isolated it to the lay shaft? Or have you checked to see it is not something else causing the bind as other common binding issues are putting front spool pulley on back to front and not centering the rear diff correctly.

I finally found a good setup.
But I got a bad tire wear... the front and rear right tire becoming rills at the inside just after 10 runs. The car is then undriveable.. new tires and all is good.
All my club colleagues are running these tires (Solaris 35) without any problems for 30-40 runs. Of course the tires are slower then but its still the same feeling.
Whats wrong with my setup?
I use 17.5 motor... not too fast for the tires

Setup looks fine, is it a controlled tyre build?
Maybe you're on a softer/smaller insert than the other guys?
That tyre looks like it's been run outdoors on an indoor insert.

It's a handout tire. Solaris S-T35ESM3W all are using the same on our asphalt track.
#3881
Is that a front or rear tyre?
Do they all look the same?

The one in the picture is the front right tire. The rear right has also rills, but not so strong. Left side is fine. We've got 4 left and 2 right corners at our track (I posted a picture a few sides before)

Your setup looks ok and the tyre doesn't look that bad.
I would suggest to test with 2 deg of negative camber.
BTW are you using tyre additive.

Okay I will try.
I use no additive. The track is too dirty at the moment.

I suggest you start using tyre additive as it makes a huge difference to the performance of used tyres.
