Default 5400mAh Lipos?

Has any one tried the Team Checkpoint 7.4V 5400mAh Lipos? How do these compare to the Orions?

How come Orion has less capacity and is more expensive?

Default checkpoint

Checkpoint is a trakpower pack. Checkpoint just slapped their label on it.

Orion are regarded as the longest lasting (cycle life), safest lipo packs made. That is why they are more expensive for less mah. Do a search for kokam cells and read about their safety and cycle life.

If you are racing, the beauty of lipo is that you can top them off between races. I use the orion 3600 pack with a novak 13.5 and have never pulled even 50% of their capacity (1800mah) during a race.

If you want a proven pack, and the only ones certified for air travel, get the orions.

(I don't work for, am not sponsored by, and have no interest in orion or kokam. I just use their cells with no issues EVER.)

I personally think both of these packs are overpriced. 16C and 15C are pathetic numbers for 130 and 140 bucks. Trackpower gets their cells from enerland and their 4900 pack is now rated at 25C for only $120 and the new enerland cells are at least as safe if not safer than the couple older cells used in the orion 4800's. If you want more punch, don't settle for anything less than 20C from a reputable company

No, its not a TP pack, the cells in it are the worst FP cells made, the checkpoint pack is no good compared to a TrakPower, there is no comparison........
