Serpent S411

Thanks for the info.
i have just decided that im not gonna worry about additional parts at this time and just see of the car does.
I would be interested in seeing that carpet set up....
how many of you guys are running a 17.5 non boosted class. next order of business is looking into gearing.
I will be using a Tekin RS Pro 17.5 turn motor.

(You could run the serpent black and white springs in place of the xray ones.)
I have a V1 kit with the plastics and replacement V2 arms and cannot feel any difference. They seem like the same material.
Yes darker color is softer material.

According to RedRC the car launched in April... I can only imagine that it was in North America shortly after that since they have a US distributor dedicated to the brand.

i want one to so nice, how ever i dont think my wife would be happy if bought anather
the serpent orange rocks, i wonder been a limited if you can buy the same colour parts ?
this may just be my own opinion but it would be great if they made a battery strap aswell i hate taing batteries down, maybe im old school still i got my old corally holders and used them along with battery locators works very well no tweak. But a Serpent would be better

im hving issues with rattling while the steering on power. im horrible at trying to explain in details so i made a quick video of the problem..
as the shows no top deck, the problem happens when the top deck is screwed on as well. as the video shows, it happens when wheels are installed
when the wheels are off, it doesnt seem to happen at all
any ideas? thanks

hmm.. will try that as soon as i can get my hands on some balancing putty, thanks
i checked, seems everything is fine on the rear end, my thing is, if it was something that involves the spur or any area around it, it would also make the same noise/rattle if the wheels are off.

That is the drive shafts chattering and unfortunately is pretty normal if you are running a front spool. The DCJ shafts will solve this as will running a gear diff up front. But you would rarely use that much steering lock on the track and on the bench like that, under no load it sounds like you car is going to explode(so dont do it). The pros say to set your car up with full lock steering but they have much better transmitter control than the average person and can handle all that steering. Unless you have this sort of control(which i do not), Set your car up on the set up station and adjust your dual rate on the steering with around 25 degrees at 100% epa. Even when you bench race this should not chatter the shafts as much and this should be enough steering as i personally end up dialing it down to around 22 degrees for nearly all the asphalt tracks ive run on.
