Conservation of momentum will dictate that if the truck comes to a stop in turn one from a speed of 175 and the brake rotor came dislodged sometime before the complete decelleration, the momentum of the system has to stay the same (unless energy is lost in the form of material deformation, friction, etc)... so in essence the brake rotor could have come off the truck, accellerated well past 175 mph, and ran itself around the course along the wall and eventually came to a rest in turn 4. (just like your 1/12 car tumbled around the sweeper )

Either that or the part broke off in turn 4 which in turn caused the crash in turn 1

Steve, it seems you found an e-clip. Next time if you are going to snap at me, be more forceful with lots of threatening words.

Cool

Was that a 4mm e-clip?? Or did I hear you say a 3/32nd fit??? (2.38mm)

I think my car problems made your runs look great in comparison .

The pro4 is a pretty car with all the anodized alum. Have you figured out the glitching problems?

Is the angle of the dangle inversely or directly proportional to the heat of the beat?

No wonder I was glitching then... that hologram projector must be on some inbetween, inbetween 75Mhz frequency!

I took a look at my motor and the arm was basically spent... a little charred. So, I'll cross my fingers for next weekend (or uncross them, whichever causes the least interference )

Poor guy!

We'll have to do some more testing Erik

Btw, I figured out that it doesn't matter how you gear your car if you don't have a 4mm C clip

WOW! Great answer! Your not far off on all counts!

He actually drove it around from turn 1 to the pits, driving on the brake rotor, which broke into a zillion glowing-orange pieces in turn four. Then he got a ride to Mr. Hospital.

One quickly learns to not pick up metal parts without channel locks or doubled-over welding gloves (ala pot-holder style) as all metal parts are suspected to be a tad warmer than the phalanges are rated for. Your intelect is wasted on RC cars.......
