FYI on changing the Ballistic sensor harness....
Ballistic Sensor Harness Removal
In order to ensure that the replaceable sensor harness doesn’t easily fall out of the Ballistic motor accidentally, the end bell was designed to snugly retain the end of the sensor harness in its connector.
As such, removal of the harness requires special attention so as to not damage the harness itself.
1. Note and mark the factory timing setting on the motor.
2. Using a 1.5 mm wrench, loosen the three flat head screws holding the end cap and sensor assembly in place.
3. Once loosened, grasp the sensor harness as close to the connector as possible.
4. Gently “walk” the sensor harness connector out of the motor’s connector by wiggling the connector side to side.
a. NOTE: You may need to pull up slightly on the harness as there is a small lip on the endbell that may impede the removal of the sensor harness connector in certain circumstances.
5. Once the harness is removed, it can easily be replaced.
6. Next, re tighten the three 1.5 mm screws in the end cap, ensuring that the timing setting is set to where it was noted before the sensor harness removal process was begun.

Hey guys? Does timming on the ballistic 25.5 motor alot faster than the SS 25.5 ????

The Novak 25.5 SCAR Road Course and Oval Classes are doing well at Lou's Speedway in London Ontario Canada. Last Wednesday SCAR was the largest Circuit Class and SCAR Oval was the largest Oval Class.
The 25.5 with the Havoc Sport 2S and Orion 2400 LIPO provides great affordable power with very impressive performance in the 200mm Pan Cars.
This past week, some of us geared way up on the Oval. One Racer was at 118 MMPR for the 5 Minute Qualifier. I ran a 110 MMPR in the Qualifier and in the 125 Lap Main ( ran 9 Minutes and 16 Seconds ). On the Road Course we run around 75 MMPR.

With the 2wd Pan Cars, we have found that Timing on the 25.5s running with the Orion 2400 Lipo Havoc Combo doesn't seem to change the performance that much. Having the car geared right seems to be a better area to concentrate on.

I would go with the Ballastic if its in budget...only because of the re-building factor, and being able to change stator to other wounds(13.5,10.5,17.5 ect)
as far as timming, yes the Ballastic can go farther on the timming, but you push it pass its performace level, thus burning it up or damage....both motors are equal, from the factory...what you do to it is up to you....
