Regarding spring setup, i bought a new set of Option Spring (Grey) over the weekend and install it pairing with Mugen 450 shock oil on all 4 corners. The results was awesome, the car jump and lands well and has very good respond overall. I'm using 3mm spacer up front and no spacer in the rear.

I'm usually sliding around every turn. I would just like to stick the rear a little better, would 7-7-2 be a good place to start ?
You might try 5k rear diff oil although 3k is a good all around setup. If you go lighter the car should turn into the corner better and might stick the rear more but if it does get loose it will snap out harder than the heavier rear oil. I felt like 5k handled a lot like 3k only more predictable.

I would suggest going up .25 to .5 degrees of rear toe (if you are not up to 3 degrees yet) or you might try 5k front diff oil as that should make take away a little bit of on power steering.

A lot of chassis flex in the middle...around the center diff area.
Can we do anything about it or this is how it should be?
In one race i can notice the U shape in the chassis.

If the you can see or measure a curve in the chassis with a straight edge or ruler, its bent. I had that issue with a DR chassis on a K-Car.

I think i've read somewhere in here that the mugen chassis does flex in the middle easy...so i thought this was normal.
Has anyone also tried a 44T spur gear with a 13T cluct bell?

i've cased a jump on a blue-clay track and, becuase the jump was VERY hard, i noticed when i got home that the chassis had a very noticeable crease going right through the spur gear opening....i've since replaced the chassis. It was a good whack, but....if the chassis were thicker it would more than likely not be a problem.

i dont see a big issue with riggin up the Losi clutch to the Mugen...But u would have to use a Standard bell...as the Stock losi bell or the RR bell is way too deep and would hit the tank when mounted.....i did run a standard bell on my losi clutch once....but on my losi...so maby when i get my mill back from my modder...and i have buddy's 5R still on the bench ill test it out for u guys.....buddy has also been naggin me to rig it and see if it works...so ill let u guys know.

Hi Guys,

I'm just cleaning up my pit boxes (they are getting too heavy...LOL ) and found a ton of spares I don't need. So I posted a TON of NEW Mugen parts & other items for sale over here:

Best regards,

Is everything on the MBX5R interchangeable with the MBX5 besides the 5R shocks?

The MBX5 is really cheap right now and I figure I can get that and upgrade parts as they break/wear out.

Hey Guys,
I have a couple questions on the shocks and towers. I bought a set of X5R shocks to put on my X5 and ran into a problem. They are so long that they limit upward travel.
Questions:
1. Are the shock towers the same height on the X5R and X5? Seems like a taller tower is needed?

2. Are the shock shafts the same on the X5R and the X5-Truggy?

I'm just trying to freshen up my old X5 to run a couple races while waiting for the X6 to come out.

From my research the old shock towers from the X5 won't work with the X5R shocks.
