T4 with IPC SR for Stock - too snappy?
I'm about to get an LRP IPC SR to run in my T4 for Stock class, and later on, Mod. Will this ESC be too aggressive/snappy for the T4? It has awesome specs with ultra low resistance, and minimal voltage drop..
Anyone running this setup? I saw in another thread someone is running a IPC 7.1 in a B4, and this is a similar setup..
I'm also about to get a Spektrum DX3. Can I tone down the acceleration on this unit? I reckon this should be alright.

not sure how you can town it down. I believe the SR may come with limiter chips?
If not, I think it just has two modes then. if it is too punchy, probably go with the second mode.
If you haven't purchased it, you may be interested in a Tekin esc. The Tekin G-10 I really liked as it was by far the easiest and most adjustable esc to use. You could really tune it to what you wanted, and it had loads of power as well.
If I wasn't doing brushless, I would probably do it again.
If you are buying this new, maybe see about getting just a brushless esc? you can always later add in a brushless motor for mod when you are ready.

The SR comes with an assortment of "chips" that represent different current limiting levels (sort of a "torque limiter") -- lower limits take the excess "snap" out of the ESC...
Additionally, each chip can be installed in one of 4 different orientations, with each altering the current profile...

I run this ESC.. i only used one of the chips once or twice, i didnt like the modes... I run no limiter chips in stock truck and have been lovin it

I'm pretty sure they have an EXPO function, which IMO is a good way to tone down throttle response for the simple reason that you can adjust it from the stand during practice or warm ups.

Awesome, I thought I was onto a good setup here! My ESC arrived today, this is one of the most higher-end products I've purchased, thanks heaps for the tips team. 
I too will prolly end up with no chips, just learn throttle control with my 2WD truck.
DX3.0 comes 2mora I hope, will let you kno what it's like!
