Team Associated TC5

Coach (Kurt Wenger) said the car should be here in May. Not to bad for a car that a year ago was just in the prototype stages.
I am looking forward to wheeling the car

A few updates for everyone...
1st - I'd like to welcome Eric Anderson (EA Motorsports) to the team. He will be a great asset for us not only on the track but off as well. His attitude off the track and his competitiveness on the track are exactly what we are looking for at AE. Again, "Welcome to the team Eric."
2nd - There will be 90% production cars at the LRP race next weekend driven by Craig Drescher, Juho Levanen, Christer Andersson and Joel Myrberg. They have all the blue bulkheads, production arms, etc. Rick Hohwart will also be seen around So Cal with his mostly production TC5 preparing for the Reedy Race.
3rd - From what I've heard, we are still close to schedule and the kits should be ready by the end of May, if not sooner. No guarantees, but that's what I've heard.
4th - Yes, there is an ITF chassis kit. The FT TC5 kit comes with 2.5 mm carbon fiber chassis and top deck. The ITF chassis kit is 2.0 mm and has a more flexible top deck design.
5th – As Kevin said, the Reedy Race will mark 1 year from the time the first prototype was raced. Pretty much everything on those kits was hand made by Associated R&D. What people don’t realize is that 90% of the TC5 kit is new. It’s not easy to design, mold, sample, approve and package parts…it takes time, and lots of it.
Bob (Stellflue) has done a great job of creating an easy to work on vehicle that can be adapted and setup to any touring car surface. I can’t wait to get mine!
