Just out of interest has anyone tried the T bar conversion and what was it like?

I do know some of the problem was that you couldn't run any other tires with the car other then Jaco as it has an offset to the rim. BSR and Calandra don't have as much if any offset. And the main reason they did it is you can't run legal width with the car as it is, balanced, the 172mm roar width only works if you use no shims I think. If you shim the stock pod balanced it comes out 174 or 175mm all the R5s in vegas ran wide but as Vegas didn't check width it wasn't caught. now this is just what I heard.

A local racer has it here and it works well. He really enjoys it.

I've run it great success....but the body rubs on the right side of the rear pod, where the dampener screw is

I just bubbled the body a little bit to add some clearance, works great

Who was it making the blue foam bumpers for the car? I saw them somewhere and cant recall where? Slapmaster?

That 848 figure was for my FF07, I haven't had an R5 since last summer. I don't remember what my R5 weighed, I believe it was around 815 or so (brushed motor, 4200 pack)

I'm sure it will have an effect, but I can't say for sure how much of an effect. If you're going to replace the parts, I'd suggest the CRC precision delrin unit. Less friction, no slop, and just cool looking. It's CRC 4278, here's a picture of it on Stormer's: CLICK HERE

$11.95 for the 1 set of platic and one ball. You only need one set for a link car. I'm put two sets on the t-bar in my FF07, and I have another one on the way for my GenX. You'll trim two of the ears off it to fit the football on your Knife.
