Anyone had some more testing with 17.5T? I'll start this weekend with 82/28 and also try out the 76/30 combo, can't wait to get this thing on the track

I've had good luck running:

No boost 27-28/76
With boost (Tekin 25 boost) 25-26/76

Both with LRP x-12 17.5 motor with 15 degree can timing. Medium sized indoor clay track with medium to high traction.

I started on my last race night with 76/32 and after some practice it seemed hot so I put it to 76/26 and after my first heat the motor was under 70 deg. I bumped back up to 76/32 and after my main (5 minutes) my motor was just under 80 deg. Of course it was a fairly cold night, so that could have had something to do with it. This is a fairly short (28s lap times) hard packed outdoor track.

Oh, and I had plenty of speed and power for the track. I could clear the big triple pretty easily, and was keeping up with the rest of the cars on the straight.

Orion Vortex Pro Stock 17.5 w/ Orion Vortex R10Pro ESC (no timing) and 2S, 5000mah, 65C lipo pack.

I put it on the street with a gps speed-o in it and I was getting about 25mph at the high gearing above. I bumped the motor timing from center to the last mark forward and that brought it up to about 30mph.

What hop up parts are most buying, I'm currently running the rear alum camber block, aluminum steering rack and I was thinking of purchasing the 30deg alum front pivot, already have the 25 degree alum front pivot, maybe 5deg caster blocks, and 0deg caster block?. Feel free to chime in I'm open to suggestions.

I've gone with the aluminum front pivot and aluminum front camber. I have the delrin steering rack coming and buggy std. rear aluminum hexes to put on the front, threaded kinpins, threaded rear outet hinge pins. I believe that's it. I try to stay away from too many aluminum parts.

Im running
30 Deg aluminum pivot
Front aluminum camber block
rear aluminum camber block
rear aluminum hubs
Threaded front kingpins
Threaded rear hingepins
Low Friction O-rings
Titanium turnbuckles.

The most noticeable change for where im running is the extra weight over the front end from the aluminum camber block/arm mount... The low friction o-rings imo are a big difference. The aluminum hubs etc isnt needed but i had them laying around so that's y i added them.

Has anyone tried to modify the mid motor body to work on a rear motor build? I just thought as a practice body it should be fine.

I have, but it leaves the rear shock tower exposed, you can get it to work, just takes a little surgery
