Thanks Randy. I'll give that a try. I'll also try my 6.5 in Dual Mode and see how that goes with regards to ESC temps. Was running the 6.5 in Sensored mode before but it felt like it ran out of speed half way down the straight yet was running hot with an FDR of 7.56 while the 3.5 pulls the whole way down the straight and runs in the right temp zone after a full pack. Top speeds with the 6.5 were 36mph while the 3.5 was hitting 52mph both on 2S on the back straight. Interestingly my boosted 13.5 was hitting 32mph on the same straight. I think I can get a bit more speed out of the 6.5.

17.5T duo2 motor timing allowed. raced this weekend and had no bottom or topspeed, and the temp was around 85C. my FDR 6,20.it was the first time i used 212. would be very happy if someone could post a setup for this.
Did you reset your radio parameters after upgrading to v212?

Yes, you should do if you haven't. a software upgrade resets the internal memory in the RS so always recalibrate to your transmitter, and always reprogram your settings. Don't forget to write down your settings before upgrading.

Default Timing profiles RS pro and Redline 10.5T sensored on 2 cell

Hello Randy

I have spent some time looking for HotWire 212 timing profiles for 10.5T, 2 cell both here and on your homepage without luck.

I am using a Xray T3 with current FDR of 7,98 giving a roll out of 23,2mm (with 59mm foam tires). This might be a bit low geared and I am considering something more like FDR 7,25 and roll out 25,5mm. Any thoughts?

See attached jpg for my current 212 settings (not tried yet). I have 0 deg timing on the end bell as of now.

I hope you and others can shear settings and thoughts.

Regards Ronny

I run 10.5 with rubber tires. FDR = 7.6
Boost = 35
End = 22000
Start ~ 7xxx

Car is as fast as 5.5R's. Motor temp after 5mins ~ 60C.
Track straight is 35m, with semi-technical infield.
Very happy with the performance.

I would suggest you to increase your Start and End RPM #'s as yours seem to be a little too low.

I haven't seen your original post so please forgive me if I ask a question that you have already answered. What exactly are you looking to get out of your car? I see that you have no turbo on so I can only assume that you are running on a small track. Are you lacking bottom end punch??? You could try going up on your min drive settings. You have it at 10. Try going to 20 and see if you can feel a difference. Motor temps shouldn't be an issue (I hope) since you said you have motor timing at zero. We will get you pointed in the right direction.

Thanks for all the answers. My mistake not mentioning what I want to accomplish

I was running the V203 last season but I am afraid that I didn't write down my last settings! In any case I felt that I was lacking a bit in the infield (I am running on a semi technical track with one ~20m straight that ends in a long sweeping 180 deg curve (total length of track is apx. 100m or so).

I have not run the car with the 212 software yet (will tomorrow).

I have shifted the rpm points a bit higher. For 22000 as high point, the given low point was either 5580 or 8903 rpm. The last one seemed a bit high to me? (se attached screen shot).

My plan was to wait with the Turbo until the infield felt OK (by tuning the software settings, timing on end bell and FDR).

So what do you guys think about my FDR (7,98 as of now) and the 0 on the end-bell?

What would be suitable settings for the Turbo?

Regards Ronny

Honestly with you not running it yet it's going to be a little hard to suggest. You didn't remember your 203 settings so there's nothing to work with as a starting point. Try a setting from off of the website to start out with and leave your gearing where it is. I think the biggest thing you will notice will be the min throtle adjustment. It works wonders in onroad and I'm sure it will have the same affect in offroad.

Glad to be able to help! I have been running the Duo2's exclusively for a long time and I love that motor. Testing the Duo3 right now, it is very fast! v212 is great too.

The new Tekin motors will hopefully be out shortly. Set aside a lil cash to try one out.

hello,
long time since i've been here.

I noticed there is a new version of the software: v212.
What are the new items compared to v203?

ALso about those new Tekin-motors. ATM I am running a Ptit'Yo-motor (9.5) in my 2WD 1/10th buggy and it is a SWEET thing: lot's of punch, smooth, fast!!
I am looking for a replacement for this engine, just as a backup in case of troubles.
What are the Tekin motors about? what's new about them, pro's, contra's?

thx for all info and/or links to the apropriate documentation.
