I haven't been pulled on a straight ever with the 5800 and LiPo...not saying it won't or shoudn't happaen, just that it hasn't. I've been passed on the straights, but only if I'm not on it. I really don't like the bricks...they eat parts, so I try to make sure I'm not near them when I get on it.

It's plenty fast, IMO. I'd get a GTB for the fan and lower profile, but the 5800 does what it needs to, power-wise.

Wow... Didn't even see this thread....

Its funny I suggested starting one on the socal thread 2 days after this one was started...

Cory: STFU. You don't even run 4WD anymore, so why do you have to come one here and tell Joe that he must suck?!?!? Hell, you don't even own your crappy XX4 anymore. And you hardly got anything for that thing. If you had parted it out, you would've made double

RCdude: I'll be there Friday. Bring it Don't flake out now

Cash-money: you need a tuning help writeup? I wrote a small thing on it a while ago... Its proably still on my computer.. Ill see if i can find it...

Joe: Lol... Somewhere around like 2300-2400 I think And thats with the ss5800... Friday I'll have my 2 cars. I got the new one TOTALLY rebuilt from the ground up... And I used a pair of calipers this time
Better watch out
Come on down Friday. If Rev is a no go Sat, then why not? We could have Chris, me, you and whoever else wants some competition

Hey Turbo Joe

Thanks for the Reply!!! Yea, I always buy from Steve at SpeedTechRC, but I think I'll try the MaxAmp's 6000 Li-Po's. For the Price of one Orion 4800 I can get two 6000's... And since I Can't Drive and Don't go that often the money spent on the MaxAmps Li-Po's would probably be better...hahaha

Have a Good One!!!

todd im not gonna make it to hot rod on sat but the schedule is practice all day then racing starts at 5:00PM. classes are mostly gas but there is pretty much always an electric class. mainly stock, you can run your 4wd if you want, and when clint and jonny run mod there will be a mod class. you can never be sure if theres a mod class so bring your stock motors.
