5800/Novak SS+/Platinum Lipo/Speedtech.

I'm big on "buy local", and we're lucky enough to live close to some kickass places.

Hey Turbo Joe

Is that the Orion Battery that Steve carries??? Don't see any other Li-Po's there.

Do you know if anyone at SoCal is using MaxAmp's Li-Po's... There pretty cheap for the 6000/8000ah batteries.

They say the 8000 gives you about an hour of runtime... But I think thats kind of odd/false...hahaha Since 4200nimh give you about 6min and 30-50secs of runtime...

Thanks!!!

Brad

Yep...that's where I get them.

I only use 1500-1600 mah for a 5 minute race...so I'd say 15-16 minutes would be very reasonable for the Platinums. I haven't seen any other LiPos there, but I don't look around very much. Erik used 2000 or more, but he's hardcore. I'm more in "survival" mode than "TQ" mode most of the time.

Hey Turbo Joe

WOW, thats Great!!! So I guess that what MaxAmp's was saying could be somewhat True about there 8000 battery, GREAT!!! Hell if I can get 30min for RunTime, that more than I need...HAHAHA

Have you run against a 6.5 Novak with your 5800 on the Back(or Front)Straight??? If so, is it Faster or Slower??? And, NO I can't drive that FAST... I'm lucky to get around the Track all by myself, without WRECKING, Hell I can walk around the Track Faster then I can Drive...HAHAHA

On that Orion Battery it shows some kind of Case, is it Alum, or Plastic??? From the Pic it looks kind of like Alum...

Have a Good One!!!
