Default OS Spec II equivalents

Hi, after a bit of advice please.

Are there any engines still made that are based on the OS Spec II?

What about the Tekno RC BLOK 21aP or the Ultimate M3S?

Thanks!

I am pretty sure the blok is a spec 2 and the flashpoint is a spec 2 with a plain crank instead of the dlc coated crank.

VZB is the older generation motor, XZB the newer.

In other terms, VZB crank pins wear out prematurely, XZB series is just fine.

VZB Speed is the short stroke DLC crank
VZB vspec (non speed) no DLC crank...different timing
XZB SPEED is long stroke DLC crank
XZB (non speed) no DLC crank
XZB speed SPEC II & SPEC III....long stroke DLC crank....
Lost track from there on....square bore and stroke etc....yadda yadda

So the XZB would be the one to go with. Lol thanks for all the explanation guys! But from what I understand, this engine is no longer made, or at least discontinued by OS? At least the Spec 2 version, right?

That is why I started the thread

I don't think OS sell it under their own brand any more, but it appears they still produce it for other brands, or the other brands have stock still.

From what I have read it's one of the most brutal engines out there.

No, OS do not offer it anymore. And unfortunately since Horizon took over OS distribution in the US, their tech support will not be the best or most helpful. To bad the OS (US) site is no more
