Capricorn 190mm EP
#136
i doubt it, but i hope so. a few friends of mine who drive the nitro car called them and asked them if they had thought about carrying this car and they said no. it a shame though because it is a good brand and im sure more people would drive this car if amain had parts in stock. i know of at least 8 people around here who have the nitro car and we all need parts.
If you are having trouble finding parts email me, [email protected]
I will also be able to direct you to US dealers that will be stocking the electric car.

Don't know whether the Xray diff wil fit, the internal ratio for the Xray is different so maybe the amount of teeth on the diff is also different?.
If you have measurements for the diff (space between the bearings) I could check if it will fit between the Capricorn's bulkheads.
The Capricorn geardiff is really good btw, very smooth because of the Teflon enhanced Kevlar material.

As an example, my Photon also runs a 2.0 internal ratio, running 17.5 blinky at the Qlds I went up to a 66/40T combo by end of the event, kind of extreme, but there you go.
Spur to pinion ratios are also one of those things you never quite know till you can fit some and see, as even if cars share the same internal ratio, they often space the spur to pinion gap differently, meaning without a supplied gearing example chart, your guessing till you can fit something and see what fits.

Before I drove the TE-01 I was running the Awesomatix, this had a very nice way of mounting the battery in the car, removing the need for battery tape.
Since I don't really like the tape mounting method I had some parts 3d printed:
Everything fits perfectly and I will test it on the track tomorrow.

This is for a 13.5T motor and blinky esc.

and also is there a roll out i should be close to
example ( 20pinion 84 spur will give me 8.4fdr and a roll out of 23.56)
is there an optimum roll out i should be looking for ???
thanks

At my hometrack we have 3 TE-01's running and all 3 drivers have been very happy with their cars. The precise fit is still there and no visible wear on any of the parts. The car also seems to be really strong, one of the guys had a faulty steering servo which sometimes didn't came back to center. This caused him to hit the boarding pretty hard, put no broken parts. The only thing which can happen when you hit the boards, and you don't use a servo saver, it can cause the servo mount to move a bit so the car will pull to one side. However when you change the standard screws for some high quality (12,9) steel screws you can tighten the mount a lot harder and the issue disappears.
Or you can use a servo saver of course when you hit the boards several times during a run.
I previously ran the Awesomatix and at the first race with the TE-01 I improved my personal best by 1 tenth. This currently is also the fastest time set during a race.
One of the other guys improved his personal best by 7 tenths, he moved up from a low a-main finisher to a podium contender.
Several experienced drivers, previous ets winners, also tested the car and all have been very positive about the car's handling. One of them improved his personal best within the first battery he tried my car!.
