Thanks that would be really cool, I just cant wait till me you and Russ all show up and we are all at our best, now thats gonna be good. I will tell you that 8 port impressed me today, that thing was flying, Now its going to be fun with all of us with our xxxnt's, I think ski's going to give us a good butt kicking if he can keep it running. Man Im praying I get my p5 this week!!! Yeah I agree the track was in very good shape today, I think the only reason I got that 28.8 is because I beleive you were pushing me hard.

I was thinking of going to Pasadena today but I think I'll save it for the beach. I heard there's a track on the bay side in OC. I'm leaving Wednsday for the beach and want it to be in one piece when I get there. If that falls through, I'll run that baby on the dunes and try to catch some mega air. I'll have the camera with me so I'll get some pics. It should be sick.

Also, round 3 qualifying is over and Chris Crews is once again in the show. He's done real well this season lets hope he can pull it off. Hunter is in the show in intermidiate class. Way to go Hunter, show um what you got. Good luck today.

told you about those os engines KC

i wish i had known about the track in OC when i was there about a month ago

i was thinking about going up to PA to run at hobby hut but my kids actually slept untill almost 8:30 and now its too late

im going to go to laruel and check out the charity race they are having today i guess

KC once you get that p5 you will start tallking shit about OS engines too i bet you will be very very impressed

during break-in mine was so punchy on the bottom end i turned the low speed needle out a full turn because i was worrired it was too lean turns out even a full turn too rich it still had incredible bottom end power

Yeah my engine locked up coming off the straight, The bottom of the piston skirt just exploded, no use of rebuilding it there is metal all in the crank bearings and everywhere else. Jason you do have the novarossi p5 right? That what I ordered from dougs. They said horizon doesnt have them but I think Trinity has them in stock, so there going to oreder it from there, Also ordered a new exhaust.

Default P5

Jason, agree with you on break in experience with the P5.
4 tanks thru the new P5 and cant quit smiling. I started to richen both of the needles cause I thought it was running too lean. Not the case. Good amount of smoke all the time and temps were low. Idle settings out of the box are spot on. Very easy to start from the get go. Couple more tanks and it will be ready for Pasadena. Can't wait!

How is the fuel/mileage on yours? I kept the 8 mm reducer since I am pretty sure it has plenty of power. I might even go for a 7mm to get more fuel mileage if needed. I am running the 4 point Fioroni clutch and it feels awesome.

KC, u will get yours soon enough!

eltorito when did you get a p5 i thought you had just bought the vz-b?

my mileage is usually very good i havent timed it but it ranges from 6-8 minutes im guessing

i never worry about when to pit

i hope to be at pasadena this weekend but im still not sure yet

ive been looking my buggy over and its really time for some maintenance

how do you guys like dougs?

i went in there today to order a bunch of parts for the mbx5 and i got a bad vibe like they didnt even want to order the stuff for me

and i bet you in a month i still dont have the stuff i ordered

they are going to finally get some racers up there for their fall points series

and theyve starting building an offroad track there

but im thinking if they dont do something right on this order i just placed its going to be time for me to find a new hobby store

i got a few friends at s+j who would probably be happy to take my money

Jason, which Dougs Store gave u the bad vibe, Waldorf or down in Hollywood?

Also where is the new track being built you are talking about?

I got a VZ-B as a back up and decided to sell it. I wanted to try something other than OS. Plus I have been thinking about the P5 for a while. I got the RZV01B on ebay with the O'Donnell head up for sale now. Once that is sold then I'll start saving my pennies for next years offroad season

KC ordered the ofna 086 one piece. Good deal.

the bad vibe came from waldorf

maybe i am being overly sensitive but i just dont feel like they care enough

i am going to be shopping for electric stuff soon and my money has a way of finding its way to the most helpfull person

if you want all my money gotta treat me like you want it

i would be willing to bet my mugen parts werent even ordered yet

ive been through this with dougs many many times where i order something and 2 weeks later they still dont have it they dont know why and they have to call and order it again

there was no reason they couldnt have picked the phone up while i was standing there but instead they did nothing

maybe i want too much

but its alot of money ive spent over the past few years

Jason, I hear u loud and clear. They have to work for my money also.

KC, yes they are already building the off-road track back up(Waldorf)

Also the xxx-nt is up and running! Did a little test ride today up at dougs. The diff balls have some flat spots and still need to change the toe and camber and it should be good. The engine rips pretty damn good. I am keeping my end point adjustment kinda low so I dont get too out of control. Keeping the temps down around 215-220 after a full tank. Got around 9 minutes to the tank which should be around 6-7 once I get the rythm going.
The P5 behaved awesome. Boy that thing has some crazy punch!! You'll see!

Hope u are coming with us up to pasadena this weekend, should be a lot of fun.

for electric i havent decided yet

i dont feel like sitting around all winter with no racing

so i might break down and buy another touring car

im thinking tc3 but also considering xxx-s or the cheap x-ray

got anything for sale

i dont know how long its going to take me to get all the stuff i need
car kit
speed control
batteries
motor
charger
soldering iron

i went to s+j last night and jasen wyche was working he told me he can hook me up with some better prices and they are really close to home

also they have really started stocking alot more stuff

so far im thinking
tc3
novak g7
2 or 3 packs 3300s
19t motors
mrc super brain 969
and weller soldering iron

sound about right

KC youve had all the touring cars i can think of what do you think about tc3

what would you think you would need to upgrade a regular tc3 into a reasonable racer

im thinking sway bars and maybe shocks anything else you can think of

or do you think i should get the tc3 factory team kit

i think i will be racing this weekend at pasadena KC you had ought to drive up there and race against the best in MD
