The screws in front and in the back, depending how hard you screw them in, will give you more or less flex

Running the G4RS 09
Hi to everybody!
Anyone is racing the G4 anymore??
As TM do not make a new tenth scale nitro sedan, which improvements should be done on the G4RS 09 to be competitive with the other brands?
I think the G4 is still a good racing car. I like the plastic parts whereas the other brands uses alu all over the their cars.
Best regard
Rob

Like you i have a KM Racing H-K1, at first i liked everything being alloy, but after awhile i started to lose screws even with using loctite. Recently i have been working on an Xray NT1 (plastic) and its just a dream just like my old G4's.
Thanks

You are sooo right... That is what I hate so much on the alloy parts, the screws lose itselfs although using loctite..
That's the reason why I wrote on this thread again. I like the plastics much better concerning that losening problem.
I like my H-K1, no doubt, but i still like the G4, i don't know why.

are you using shorter screw to reduce the weight?

my first generation hk-1 still running well, although i got the evo version and the evoII (just received yesterday, haven't finish assemble),so far i didn't facing any loose screw problem even never apply with loctite.

No, i use the screws which comes with the kit.
Especially losen screws I faced with the rear bulk, where the brake pads are attached. They have an excessive play in the bulk.
Also the screws under the chassis plate were losen.
But anyway, I still like my H-K1 !

Also in Switzerland the rules changed in weight concern.
Unfortunately TM will not release a new 10th nitro sedan in the future.

Still a capable race car..
Couldn't believe it.
have been on race track with my G4RSII and the lap times were not that bad for this "oldie" (with standard setup!) against the '13 NT1's
still love this car!

Do not dispair over the weight of the G4.
I ran the G4 for quite some time. Mainly in England but the latter years here in the states.
With effort you can get the G4 weight down to a very reasonable level.
The lightest I got mine, eventually was 1620g
Had Titanium everything ..... and ally parts too....
The plastics are a better quality so I used these extensively too.
Weight distribution is important on the car. Try to get 50/50 front to back and side to side.
Good luck.
Ps: I still have an RS 2009 kit in the box ready to build. Maybe this will spur me on to build it.
Regards
BM
PS: My last weight reduction project reulted in my CAP C-02 becoming 1290g !! A little too light!! Lol
