I'm sorry if this question has been answered a million times i'm looking to get my hpi sprint 2 drift setup with a CS system.

I've looked for info and can't find help and can't register anywhere to get the help most sites require money for a membership (Woah that's new on me.)

Anyway my question is what do I need for a CS setup (I would like to have room to grow I hear 50% is entry level so somewhere around 60-70%?).

What do I need and where can I buy parts. Nowhere local has anything at all and I don't know any reputable companies to buy from online. Please recommend some if possible!

Also looking to get another setup what is a recommended chassis (And where can I purchase one! Sites are hard to come by for this stuff...)

One last question can I put a Yokomo body on my car. My Wheel base is 254mm and the Onevia body seems to be 258mm. Will it require tons of modding etc.

Sorry again for all the questions I have noone to interact with for this information. Hopefully someone can save me from spending money in the wrong place and on the wrong items!

genki dori dori has CS pulley parts you can use for your car. just google it youll get the site. You should start out with a better car if you really wana get serious about CS drifting. Sprints are very beginer With very few mods available. Check tamiya's drift cars they have a belt and shaft driven drift car. Buy something thats easy for you to get parts for itll allow you to spend less in the long run. Once you spend money on a good car in the first place you dont have to buy tons after that. My yokomo Dmax came out of the box ready to drift carbon and aluminum everywhere, i added titanium turnbuckles and some other aluminum stuff for durability, then a rear CS gear and thats all i needed. check out DRC Central thats a nother good forum its all about rc drifitng.


If your going the CS route you must buy a super fast servo, expect to spend around $100 for that. Also if going brushless try to stick with sensored.

Looks like i'll be passing the HPI down and upgrading. I'll have around or just sub $400. What Tamiya should I be looking at? Or should I look at a Yokomo and add on engine etc etc. to make something custom?

Please guide me! As your guys' video inspired me to get one

Is your car in any of the videos on YouTube i've seen tons of them from Chance.

Anyway suggestions for that price range? Working lights is a HUGE plus as well and a requirement if possible haha.
