Before I go and spend money on this body, I want to know if the Team Muso LM-P Type2 body (picture below) will be allowed in USGT at the U.S. Indoor Champs race in Ohio next month...
This body will fit onto my Tamiya TA06 chassis with the front shocks laid down centerline.

Seriously though, how could it not be legal? LMP and DP race in the same class here in the U.S.

Finally it does not appear as if this will fit on any Sedan other than maybe Awesomeatix. Any car with a rear shock tower or rear bulkhead will not allow this body to mount up with out being to tall in the rear. I would save your money or mount it on a WGT/pan car like it looks like its intended to be used on.

What? Where is that in the rules?
Body Specifications:
Any 190mm or 200mm body. Check
Body can be any body that is NOT on the ROAR T2 body list. Check
FWD encouraged to use FWD bodies N/A
However, Can AM or IMSA style bodies, similar to 1/12 or 1/8 bodies are also discouraged There's that meaningless word again
NO Trucks Check
Any "SCALE" molded wings can be used. Lexan wings 10mm maximum height / side dam height Check
Scale type race liveries encouraged Check
This body is legal according to the rules.
Yes, I'm a rule Nazi. Not going to apologize for that. But I'm baffled at how bodies like the Riley Prototype are allowed because "that's not what is winning" and this one is no different.
And please don't mistake my position. I am in the camp that purpose built racing cars should be excluded and the rules should tightened up and made black and white. I predicted more issues like this. My main reason being what if something just like the Riley prototype comes out, (it's legal, the precedent is set) and it is actually much, much, much better than everything else. USGT will become a one body class like WGT.
I believe your original intention is sound. GT cars. Just make the rule tighter.

Second there is no sedan other than maybe an Awesomeo car that this body will fit. Its too low in the rear any car with shock towers or a rear bulkhead will not allow the body to sit low enough. Not to mention that the front looks low as well...even for IFS cars.

Thats an easy fix....No Open Cockpit Bodies are allowed. We will get that updated on the rules as soon as we can.

Instead, what I think I am going to do is try to make a list of bodies you can't use, as it will be much shorter than what is legal. Maybe you will finally be satisfied.

Despite all your diatribes this class has never been a one body class, and probably never will be. This LEMANS body, INTENDED FOR PAN CARS, in other words WILL NOT FIT ON 99% of the cars out there today, is obviously not meant for a touring car class, especially with an OPEN COCKPIT.

It's called being a Devil's advocate. I'm not the only one that feels this way. I'm just more vocal.
For example, adding a no open cockpit rule works until someone wants to run this:

ANY CAR / BODY NOT SOLD AT A DEALERSHIP FOR STREET USE?
That should cover it, if anyone is confused by that maybe they should take up bowling.
DP and LMP are prototypes, plain and simple, they are not for sale in any showroom, so they have no place in RC GT. The rules of racing need to be written in stone and plainly worded.
On a side note: Not sure why anyone would use a word like 'discouraged' in a rule book for racing....(or any other rule book for that matter) not the way racers think when it comes to rules.
Rant over, thank you for your time.

You have it backwards. Perhaps you didn't see this as I added it later.
