Not sure if anyone's had a look at the HPI thread, but here's what a HPI Formula Ten looks like
Apologies for the terrible wiring, I'm not a neat person.

Parts have been hard for me to get from day 1.
I guess we missed the F1 days of the past.
Most hobby stores have jack squat for these.
You may find bits and pieces here and there but your best bet is scope out the internet.
Ebay has lots of stuff but most comes from overseas stores, Hong Kong and Japan cuz those guys have always been into it and that's where it's made.
Lots of aftermarket (non Tamiya) stuff is out there for this car too.
Just go right to the stores online directly.
D Drive
RC Mart
RC Market
are some of the most complete that I've seen.
I've ordered from a couple with no problems at all, EXCEPT THE WAITING!
From what I understand, the orders are only processed on Sundays then it's 10 days (minimum) to 3 weeks (one of my orders took that long) after that.
If someone has some better connections PLEASE let us know.
A couple US stores are
Speedtech (but I had to pay 8 friggin dollars to get a pair of tires shipped! I'm in the same state for cripes sake!)
Fusion Hobbies gets stuff too and Tomie is a really cool dude, he brings stuff to the track (BCR)when he has it!
Danny at WCRC has a Tamiya order coming in any day and he was told by Fred at Tamiya (I think) that it would be most of what will be needed to support F1 racing there.
I really hope he gets the good stuff!

Thanks RobK. A good parts connection is always a plus.
The quote you posted of mine has a correction that I added.
I was bummed about paying $8 for shipping from Speedtech but it was my own fault, I chose the wrong shipping method and hosed myself.
Jeff at Speedtech had already (prior to my whining post) adjusted the shipping charges to the correct rate of ONLY $2!
He even wrote me a note on my receipt about the change.
Again, Jeff, I really appreciate the extra effort and I hope many, many readers will appreciate the fact that you went the extra mile for me.

I wanted to get some feedback from the guys on the thread.
I am working on putting together some kits to aid you guys in finishing out your cars.
These kits would include paint masks to do the complicated areas that are difficult to do by hand, precut vinyl in the correct colors to wrap the wings, precut vinyl stripes for the stuff that is too fine to paint. In addition I was considering including printed reference for each car
What do you guys think?
Is it something you would be interested in?
I would of course still offer paint services, just thought it might be a good option for some

Great idea BP. I'd be interested in some wing wraps for the F104 in Malboro McLaren Fluro Red. I was going to do this on the F201 but then the F104 came along. Don't need the decals though - I bought those from Rainbow Ten last year.
