The above mentioned holes require a 3/8th drill bit right? Although this is not the size mentioned to get at the front of the instructions, so back to the hardware store is it? lol

Did your Rev4 kit come with body clips (mine didn't) but the instructions show that some are there (step 22)?

What size nut driver would I need for the diff nut? The bag doesn't state what size it is (it looks like a wheel nut of an old RC10).

Thanks in advance.
Many of the team drivers shoe-goo (silicone adhesive) their servos in. This is what I do, as I feel it is a more secure way of mounting the servo, and it's significantly lighter.

I agree - use shoo glue for the servo - less weight - can align perfectly - mine has been on there for a year that way

Can the servo and goo be removed from the chassis if need be?

yea it can be removed as long as you use "Shoo goo" not the cheap stuff.

Man it would really be nice if Bruce would contact someone via the kimihiko-yano.net site so that the Rev.4 would really become known over there (hint, hint).

That web site is pretty cool and the guy behind it is a part of Rc Tech i do believe.

BTW, i read that the Gate may hold a Roar carpet regionals this year, have you heard anything Ian or any one else?

Quick question.....

I'll be starting construction (finally ) tomorrow. Just wondering what's a good/average/typical/whatever starting weight of oil for the Micro shock and side damper tubes and also the shock spring?

I have 7000 or 10,000 weight to use for the side tubes and pretty much any weight oil you might mention for the shock. As for the springs I have a silver, green or red to choose from.

Almost forgot.....this is for a high grip asphalt technical track with purple fronts and pink rears (and starting off with either a stock or 19 turn motor).

Thanks in advance.

Mabuchi540,
just got my REV4 on the track for the first time this week. I put 25wt oil in the shock, silver spring, 7000wt in damper tubes. I was also running purple and pink tires...Very good handling right out of the box, was very impressed. Just give it a go, and work from there....

Did anyone else notice while building their Rev4.....

that the left side suspension block had a lot of flash on it and doesn't "appear" to be molded as well as the right side?

I had a look at the couple of spares I've got and it's the same with them (right side is better and the left has all the mold flashing).

Anyway the reason I bring it up is because the left side steering knuckle sits lower as a result (ok so it's only like 1/4 of a mm and there is no spring free play) but I'm wondering if this would cause problems when the car is going?

My assumption is no, because under load both knuckles are "floating" anyway but that the lower one might bottom out sooner?

Just a guess, I hope all that makes sense but as it's my first encounter with 1/12th suspension I may be way off lol.
