The bottom line: If your engine, clutch, 2-speed, tires and setup isn't right, these parts are not going to help you whatsoever. Driving is also a major factor. If you bolt these on and don't see any improvement, let's see if we can figure out what's going on with your car.
Some helpful information will include:
- Full non-kit parts list, including engine, glow plug, fuel, body, tires, etc.
- Setup information
- Track conditions, weather, temperature, etc.
- Your full race results, including qualifiers
- A-Main full race results, including qualifiers
- Your impressions of how the car is performing on the track
Good luck!

RMD,
The following option parts are worth considering as well
VZW206-18 Aluminum Pulley(RRR/18T/1pc)
VZW206-21 Aluminum Pulley(RRR/21T/1pc)
VZW206-23 Aluminium Pulley(RRR/23T/1pc)
VZW206-24 Aluminum Pulley(RRR/24T/1pc)
VZW206-27 Aluminum Pulley(RRR/27T/1pc)
Especially the 21T for the mainshaft as the plastic pulley wears fairly quickly.

Anyone else tried running or is running aluminum pulleys?

Regarding rear outdrives:
The stock outdrives are very soft. If you are looking for a readily available alternative the rear outdrives for the MTX-4 are a direct fit. These last around 3 times longer but they still wear out. The best thing I have tried so far is the Hardened Lightweight outdrives from Skyline Racing. I put on a set when my stock Mugen outdrives wore out and they haven't shown any wear yet, and like mentioned earlier, you can rotate the outdrive for a fresh outdrive slot.
If you consider the stock outdrives okay then the Mugen's are great and on top of that the Skyline outdrives are bullet proof.

Also, I think everyone should get the new brake pulley adaptor from the V-One RRR Evo for their car if it fits or upgrade the entire transmission if needed. I've broken the stock plastic pulley twice and both times it was very hard to diagnose the problem. The car will behave like it has no rear traction and will over rotate in the corner. Only after rebuilding the entire rear end did I find the broken pulley.
