the regular molded insert is about 4.5mm tall and has a normal shaped bottom or section that touches the rim
the Hicomp is 4.8~4.9mm and basicaly fills the gap in the tire..I.E. a solid feeling tire.
and the X-type is 4.3~4.4mm and has a very narrow bottom where it makes contact with the rim and they have a tappered top..(which I think give your tires a weird wear pattern )
now as for how they work thats a different Question

As regarding traction and tire wear, is it better to have a solid feeling tire or with a little gap?

Hi Dave,
In Malta, we have a large asphalt track outdoors with high frequency small bumps. Any suggestions?

Aqua=Soft
Black=Medium
Gray=hard
I prefer them better than the other 2 types..

The black inserts were quite soft on a high traction traction. Perhaps the greys would work better. I traction rolled on asphalt with the black inserts.

Sorex 32
In the French championship we are allowed to use (only) Sorex 32R, do you think that the X type Grey is ok?
What do you advise me to use?

Thanks a lot Matt,
Do you advise me to use Hard, medium or soft wheels?
Which ones do you use?
Do you use tire additive with Sorex tyres, if yes, which one?
