1. How much play do you guys have in your front drive shaft? Mine seems almost too short. It moves a good half inch forward and backward like they installed a driveshaft of the wrong size. The rear one is fine and only moves a fraction of an inch. This is creating a lot of drivetrain noise. Is it possible they installed the wrong size?
mine moves about .25"..
2. My wheelnuts seem to loosen very easily. Will notching the wheelnuts remedy this?
try putting just a dab of blue locktite... just a dab.

Here's my GTP2E

on my AE sc10, the manual says to stick some o-rings in there to act like a thing to force the rear drive shaft just enough so it doesnt bottom out but give enough give when it does...
mine moves about .25"..
i just bought a 17mm socket along with a stubby socket wrench so i can crank down on that nut...

try this:
goto a sporting goods/gun store store and look for the disposable ear plugs. they are like soft foam thingees that you twist and distort to fit in your ear canal.
just cut it and shape it so it fits in the drive cup...

What is the biggest pinion that will fit on the GTB2E?
#772
with the 51 tooth i was barely able to get the 26t on, im probably going to have rc monster modify my spare spool to fit the traxxas gear then ill be able to fit bigger but ill probably go down to 23 and use the 36t spur for speed runs

hello,
GTP2 on, I think the front is very soft. Is that there are other springs as an option?
What did you put as oil shock absorber in the front?
By cons back seems fine.
Thank you
PS: You have a basic setup?

Tire question
I just got a set of Ofna belted street tires for my Vorza. Can someone tell me whats up with the foams? It came with two strips of foam. I tried to get both of them inside the tire and it looked like the smaller foam was wadded up. I'm from offroad land so please excuse my ignorance of onroad products. I've been looking at these gtp3e's and I don't see how my fleet could go without one of these jewels! LOL Plus there's a onroad race track near by.
Thanks

Then place the tire one wheel. Without the smaller one, when you mount just the bigger one you can feel a "void" down the center...
Make sense?

The smaller one goes on the wheel the middle. Manual tells you glue the ends together to they form an O and.then you place bigger one on top and.glue the ends also.
