Futaba micro receiver?

I'm totally buying a tyco radio because it's recv is smaller

Yeah, I imagine Futaba did this to push people to buy their new radio. Too bad because a new micro receiver would be an option upgrade and most receivers are going for $100. Looks like pure profit to me. If they won't do something soon, I'll be considering a Spektrum radio in the future. Fubaba has really let Spektrum pass them up in progression. Futaba has rock solid products but so does the competition.

I recently picked up the new R614FF for my 4PK and it works perfectly (in C2 mode of course). It replaced a R603FS because I was tired of switching between C1 and C2 modes each time I changed cars.
The R614FF is still not as small as the KO or Spektrum RX's, but it's not an elephant either. I'm happy with the size and weight compared to the older models.

This guy has it right. The 3PK transmits in C1 FASST Mode only. The 4PK/4PKS can transmit C1 or C2 FASST mode and is user selectable from the menus.

I disagree, I currently have the DX3-R and am ready to trade it for a 4pk. Small receiver or not I have gone through 3 Rx in different cars, 1 quit binding, the other 2 have very weak range and loose connection. Sure they fix or replace them but that does not fix the 2 regional qualifiers I spent finding the problem or the parts I bought due to an out of control car.

Dang that sux to read. I like Futaba products and I'm willing to spend the money for a micro receiver. Just wish they made one for their lower end radios.

Does anyone know about 3VCS compatibility with the 614ff receiver?
I am currently using a 603FS that came with it. I race 1/12 so a smaller and lighter receiver would be great!

I looked closer at the 4PK and it's not too bad looking, but it's $500? Just too bad Futaba is dumping on us lower end radio users.

Futaba doesn't dump on the low end radio users, they have lower end models. You are just whining cause you want the highest end radio for the lowest price. You get what you pay for!!!
