Default Black Jack bl 26 - crash on film

So, I've seen people talk about how fragile the 26" body is, in just happened to crash mine head long into a concrete pole at full speed... yeah... and caught it on video. I'm running it without the turn fins and on dual 9.6v 5000may batteries, so at 19.2v, it was booking it. I think the boat ended up pretty well considering! Here is the video, the crash is at 1:33, carnage is revealed at the end:

Default Man!

Thanks for putting up the link!

I felt like an idiot! I'm new to boats, been into planes for a while and for some reason had never had to worry about a crash with the boats before, other than the coast. I even had the darn thing centered in the camera but didn't even pay attention to it! I really did tape the boat up and drive it again just fine a couple minutes later. I plan on getting some fresh fiberglass on it soon!

If you hit it straight on it would have been much worse. I hit a bouy with my Impulse and it hit so hard it completely turned off. I had to swim out and get it.

Yeah, I'm lucky it hit from the outside. I'm glad it made it to shore or I would have had to fish it in with my trusty recovery fishing pole, lol! After I taped it up, I had another couple runs and then spun it backwards at high speed, the solder on the u joint to the drive flex cable got spun/disconnected and it was just floating away. The fishing pole with some lead weights and a couple bobbers got it in fine. I think the solder on the shaft might have been loosened by the previous crash, but who knows???

Never fast enough! I have a mystery esc and two 3s 2650mah packs that I am scared to try on this boat. It's going to scream!
