Default how can you tell difference in 8B 1.0 and 2.0??

I bought a Losi 8 buggy with a Tekno electric conversion and need to buy some parts for it.

how do I know if it is a 1.0 buggy or 2.0 buggy?

from what someone told me awhile back, the shock towers and chassis are black on the 2.0 and brownish/gold on the 1.0

Well, the guy I bought it from upgraded the shock towers to Carbon fiber. I will need to look at chassis when I get home. Is the bottom and top brownish gold on the chassis? The chassis is pretty scratched up but I should be able to tell.

Anyone else confirm this or have any other ways to tell the difference?

length of the chassis and or rear center cvd will be different (2.0 is longer) 2.0 has the newer rear hubs w/ larger pin, 2.0 has a different steering setup. 2.0 has smaller turnbuckles I think as well. Use the losi explosion shots to really tell.

I appreciate that, but I don't have another buggy to compare it to. I won't know if I have the longer or shorter chassis, or the different steering set up.

i thought there may be a pretty easy visual cue that will tell me; like the chassis color. Is the 2.0 always black and the 1.0 always bronze?

The tekno conversions are all bronze so that's irrelevant. Best bet as said before is to compare parts explosions.

The rear hubs have four camber holes on the 2.0, only three on the 1.0. Also the spindle carriers have two camber holes on the 2.0, 1.0 only has one.

Thank you so much!

Looks like i have a 1.0...

From what I have read, there isn't a huge difference.
