New Graphite Hubs:
Xray have recently released some additional Graphite hubs for the T4 lineup. The 4° Graphite C-Hub has been out for some time and is known to improve steering on entry, and in general makes the car turn better. This has been the go-to c-hub on asphalt for many on the Xray team, though it is not needed on high bite carpet. The Graphite rear hub tends to make the car more stable, especially on corner entry. We are still working on gathering input on the new Graphite steering block, but for the moment feel that it should improve steering response. All Graphite parts are approximately 1g lighter than the Hard or Medium options.

Option Parts to consider:
XRA301196 T4 Graphite Upper Deck 1.6mm V2
XRA301226 Foam Bumper – Hard - highly recommend
XRA302165 Composite Front Suspension Arm 2-Hole – Hard
XRA302169 Composite Front Suspension Arm 1-Hole – Graphite
XRA302803 1.3mm Front Anti-Roll Bar
XRA303169 Composite Rear Suspension Arm 1-Hole – Graphite
XRA303802 1.2mm Rear Anti-Roll Bar
XRA305137 Steel Solid Axle Driveshaft Adapters - HUDY Spring Steel - highly recommend
XRA305242 Composite Drive Shaft Replacement Cap 3.5mm – Orange – Strong (QTY 4)
XRA305351 Aluminum Wheel Hub – Offset “-0.75mm” – Black (QTY 2)
XRA306191 T4 Graphite + Aluminum Fully Adjustable Battery Holder
XRA308264 4S Spring-Set Progressive C=2.5-2.8 (QTY 2)
XRA308276 4S Spring-Set C=2.7 (QTY 2)
XRA308286 4S Spring-Set C=2.6 (QTY 2)
Specific to Asphalt:

Specific to Carpet:

Though i did buy a aluminum chassis for carpet, i tend to run mine box stock with;
1.3 front bar
Xray hard bumper

Ill usually run the stock springs much of he time, occasionally using he 25-28 progressives up front but no other option parts really.
I run mod with 6200 mah packs and car is super underweight and well balanced so i never bothered with the expensive screws. With the hard aluminum however i could see the lighter parts being of benefit, but prob only for stock.
Ive tried a ton of different settings and almost always end up back at kit. Cant really argue with it.

Asphalt: Same springs and sway bars, but also the progressive pistons for the front.

You want to have tuning options to adjust the car.

Thanks for your reply. I'm running on a small sized track made of epoxy. I do have a couple of X-ray springs and I use the progressive springs of 2.5-2.8 on my front and 2.5 on my rear. Also, I tuned my settings such as camber, toe-out, etc. using the system setup kit.

Just being curious here. Why do we need such a 4mm thick tower for XRay T4 2016? In addition, I'm just wondering what is the purpose of have an upper deck for the car since the belt can work well without an upper deck (I know this is a very newbie question)? Thank you.

Awesome responses, thanks guys!. As for the intial build, I've been looking at some setup sheets on petite and seeing quite a vast selection of diff oil, ranges from 3000 to 10000 this on low traction to medium traction tracks??. I see the std kit supplied it 2000, the track i'll be on is low to medium once it cleans up...any suggestions??, I'm thinking 3000k?

The shock towers on a car act as a brace for the bulkheads, so a thicker one allows less bulkhead deflection which in turn makes the car "dig in" harder into the surface of the track. This combined with less flex on the tower itself allows for a car to respond quicker and have a more direct feel on high traction surfaces. Is it a need? Not particularly, it's just a tuning option.

The upper deck is necessary to keep belt tension, increase stiffness and also to prevent the car from flexing too far.

Can anybody suggest a spur/pinion combo that fits the mounts for about 3-3.5
Fdr ?

Thanks

A 92t spur works for fdr's in that range but a slightly smaller 88t spur will make life much easier in the low 3.x fdr range.

92/52 will get you 3.36 fdr.

I apologize if it's in the thread here, but I searched and can't find what I'm looking for...so I'll ask.

6* C-Hubs for the T4'16? Are they offered with the ECS style opening? The wiki says you have to mod the old ones. Am I missing something?

I think that they made a running change to the hubs so that all new C-hubs work with the ECS meaning that there is not a specific ECS version. So, all the existing part numbers should be updated to work.

I think Troy is right. I haven't received any new 6* blocks for a while, but a friend had a set he recently purchased that said ECS on them.

I changed the wording in the wikipost for now. Eventually will just remove that note when it seems all old stock is gone.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the fruitful info. For the spare items, I have a box of screws for different sizes and, front and rear belts. I may get some other spare items like C-Hubs, etc. at a later stage. As of now, I just want to know what are the must-have upgrade parts to be installed.

There aren't really any. The car is excellent out of the box, so other than springs to tune it the option parts really are optional.

Has anybody Used this Xpert servo? Trying to decide
Between this and he Savox 1251. The Xpert has better specs but just wondering if it is as good of a brand as Savox. I always use Savox in everything and just thinking about trying somethings different.
