That is awesome Tony. Congrats to you and Mike. Glad to see the narrow 104's can stand up to the test. Not to discount the talent at the wheel....

Here's the video of the F1 A-Main Race at the 2012 Carpet Nats. this last Sunday. Before the results were posted this race had to be reviewed by the RMT because the 2nd place car's nose-wing hit the 1st place (TP's) car's right rear tire during the last lap putting Tony into the wall and dropping him back to 3rd.

After all the (foam tire) dust settled, the RMT made a decision that Tony Phalen is indeed the 2012 ROAR F1 Champion.

Thanks guys. My car went away towards the end of the race and his FGX just got better. I figured since I couldn't pull away, I might as well tighten up my lines and be right in the middle of the racing line and make him work for it. Kody did get a little aggressive and should have been issued a stop and go but wasn't. That's why they decided to review it.
I'd like to say, though, that Kody drove a great race. He drove his butt off to get all the way up there it just happened to be a late race mishap that ended in my favor.

With the after race drama I can understand why Tony would be blank faced (and maybe just freakin tired) out of respect for the fellow competitors. I'm sure he'll be bustin out the big smiles once in UF1 land
