Has anyone used a 2200 uF capacitor instead of the 2700 it comes with? I can just get 2200 for next to nothing.

look back several pages. other racers have posted different profiles. if you need anymore help, ask Robert for Mike Patterson's profile for 19T that was used a few years back.

sbs-
Is it for the VFS-1 or VFS-2000? If you need help, you can email me at [email protected]

subman-
The important thing about the cap is not only the uF capacity but the voltage and the resistance of the cap. Not all caps have the same resistance.

Using a cap rated at 10V gets very close to the limits of a voltage spike. Sometimes the voltage spike may go beyond 10V and could damage the cap and the esc.

Very true but it is a 25v cap. My thinking was that I might use a smaller capacity cap on my 12th scale (4cell) and it would take less time to charge/discharge thus taking better advantage of the 4 cell setup. I could be totaly wrong in this thinking though

The VFS_1 Pro Competition Value set includes the VFS-1 Pro Competition version, multi hand setting adapter and VFS-1 setting card. The VFS-1 Pro Competition version has the carbon fiber looking case with a very high thermo cut off.

the J value set is a prewired VFS-1 Pro.

all value sets come with the handheld adapter, setting card along with the esc.

If I want to set the throttle punch function to maximum effect (max punch),
what value (between 1-9) should I used?
I'm confused with the manual description for this one.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

So with '1', the ESC would feel the most punchy, thru 9 (the least punchy)? What about 'Off'?

And also I am a bit uncertain about Hi Point on the Helios when setting the VFS-1?
Should I set my Hi Points on the Helios at 100 or 150 before I set my VFS-1? Is there any difference between 100 or 150? What about Brakes?

Thank you for your time.

I am looking at buying the hara 2.1 version and wanted an insight of what the esc is like before I make my purchase. I also run a spektrum and a digitial servo (airtronics) and I read a few pages back that the BEC voltage had to be changed to 3.5V on the standard KO VFS-1 pro comp model, is this the same with the Hara 2.1?

Also, is it really necessary to run the heatsink when running touring car mod (7-9t) in fairly hot conditions (30'C+)? Finally, I was hoping to view the instructions for the esc (either the hara or the ko version) and I was hoping if someone could email me a copy of it?

My address is:

[email protected]

Much appreciated if anyone can help out.

the instructions for teh esc are very simple, because you cannot program it without the hand held adaptor or PC cable, the instructions for that are more lengthy.

I would suggest downloading the ko software as that lets you see everything you could set on the esc.

the throttle highpoint should be at 100 if you set it at 150 your car will have glitching problems. set brake at 150.
