Ok guys I have a bit of a problem. I just test ran the car in ths street out front. The 4.5r is tooooooooooooooo powerful, I think. My tires make a weird noise at full. The car has a diff in front and rear and it torque steered like really bad, uncontrolable. what can I do? I am running a 25t pinion and 128t spur. Using 4200 NiMh. I love this car. It was flying down my road faster then my Kyosho V1RRR with TZ12. This car is bad to the bone I might have to go to the 10.5r motor but I love speed and this fills the need if I can control it.

My problem has been solved. It turned out to be my rear tires, they came unglued. I tightened up my front diff and re-greased it now the power is controllable this car is making me want to drop my V1RRR. I may have to get one more type R =) with the CTSV body on it and full throttle the car ran down the street at about 50mph or so it flashed from one end to the next and griped so good tight turning also like on rails.

Quetion:what weight of shock oil should I use?

Are you going to race the car or just use it to bash? There are cheaper alternatives for just messing around on the street.

Heck no I am not a basher any more ever since my friend Jason introduced me in on-road 1/10th scale nitro racing. I only got an electric car to improve my driving skills, but I was using a HPI PRO4 with a 27t motor. That was too slow so I used a corally hand wound 27t motor and that was better but still not fast enough. Plus the PRO4 was not that great of a platform for me. I then got the Losi JRXS PRO of Ebay with the novak 4.5r system, but my batteries didn't fit it. I always liked the Type R so I bought it though this web site. I plan on racing this thing till the tires cautch fire Its a great car. NO BASHING FOR ME

Give Weng a call at http://www.arcadiarc.com/index.html They are based in Perth, and have stock on hand. Might have to go throught a hobby shop though.

I am really interested in that too. I am preparing to make some tests with the balance front and rear.
