Do current losi chassis weights fit on the 4.0 chassis? Also will it give the same planted feel that it did for the 3.0?

This is my opinion on emulsion vs. bladder.
Emulsion shocks allow instant shock action. What I mean by is, the piston will start passing oil thru the hole at the start of its travel. So more responsive.
Bladder shocks travel oil thru the piston after the bladder travels, so essentially the car loses travel a mm or 2 before the pistion/oil works. So less responsive.
I have been running emulsion exclusively for well over a year. It lands better, by recovering the landing quicker. Less bottoming out. Plus if there are any higher speed, abrupt jump faces, the car will not bottom out on face of jumps so hard and stay in line without getting car upset.

emulsion is very popular with 1/10 scale. I've never seen any pro setups with any of the cars use emulsion in 1/8 scale.

Wondering how difficult it'll be to convert a 3.0 to a 4.0, and if it'll actually be cheaper to do so. I'd be willing to try the new changes than selling the 8ight and going to HB.

I'm shocked. 4.0 parts are already hitting Ebay.

Based on the prices, looks like it's going to be way cheaper to convert than to buy the kit.

Edit:
Found something odd. The Front Chassic Brace for the 4.0 is TLR241015, but the front top plate is LOSA4413 which is the front chassis brace SET for the 3.0. Not sure if this is intentional, or an accidental oversight, but it seems odd that if you break the top plate on the 4.0, you'll be getting the chassis brace as well, unless the 3.0 chassis brace works on the 4.0.

just because the front chassis brace is different, doesn't mean the top hole is not in the same location...as it does use the same servo saver and top plate as other versions....the front chassis brace was modified for the different cv angle up front...but the top hole location is obviously the same still

I started adding up the parts and prices. Total so far is $339.93. Not done yet either

just a question from a noob of standard screws:
what size nut driver do i need for the shock standoff nuts?
1/4 for the small one (right?)
11/32 or 3/8 for the bigger nut?
thanks
finishing tonight my 4.0 build

here in Australia the 4.0 landed is close to KY prices.. 799 although it inc. P&H .. its eeh .. but hey if $$$ is willing and on the ready.. looks the goods.. have always had TLR in the back of my mind.. since i sold my TLR XXTCR Truck back in the day.. mmm , as with many.. if you have the option you ll go for something just as good for tad less.. other wise a great looking Buggy! and shouldnt need any option parts.. which is a bit overkill for the price tag.
