Thybaut you have the 2 speed screws to deep. they are comming out the other side and gouging the two speed bell. On the mongoose cars we used to shorten the 2 speed screws 3 threads with a file and reinstall them so it does not do that.

big
make sure your belts are not missing teeth stopping the front from driving properly. then check the car to see if it is tweeked. lay the rear shocks all the way down.

Motorman: It aren't the screws who are grinding in the two speed bell, is is the cam on wich the shoes are attached. The cam grinded about 0.5/1.0MM into the bell and now hits the bearing, wich I think will stop the grinding.
But anyway thanks for the tip about shorten the screws, I looked at it and the screws are almost hitting the two speed bell, so I will shorten them anyway.
Do you have a good starting point for the amount of turns the two speed screws have to be screwed in? or is the strarting point stated in the manual a good one?

Thanks in advance.

guys, which color is the best for a dry surface, medium to high grip?

i took the red spring out of the mongoose and put a mugen hard spring in it, but i was wonder if the orange or neon green spring was any better for my surface.

Default clutch spring

I would go for the orange spring. Tighten it down so as 1 to 2 threads are showing. (Around 0.3 to 0.6mm)
90% of the time the orange spring is good. On high grip surfaces and depending what motor you have, the yellow one, set flush to 0.3mm tension will be good.
Hope this helps.

Default clutch spring

rcrevoloution
It really depends on the track your on....... if it is high bite, if it really has alot of grip, then you could be ok with that spring. Try starting out with it set flush. Then try tightening it, 1/4 turn at a time and see if it works better, see if you like it better
hope it works
