Believe me, I know Dave is an awesome driver, he's handed me my ass enough to prove that But he's just 1 person, when Alex USA grows, if they picked up a couple more drivers like him, the R2 would get out much more in the states. I know a ton of drivers out there dont even know that the car exists...

Thank you very much for all your responses about gearing! I will just have to experiment a little more with my pinion then. I will even try the '3-second' rule.

BTW, yes, I did get my cuda used - but it was in excellent condition. I tore it down and rebuilt it anyway - including cleaning all the bearings - Except for the one-way. I'd never had a one-way before I didn't know what to do with it so I just left it. Then last race it got destroyed after getting hit from the side (that and a wheel). Maybe it got tight because I didn't re-oil it - I dunno. So, I'm buying a new 4-bearing one-way - what kind of maintenance do these thing require? Do I just need to clean and oil this thing just like my other bearings? I just use bearing old drops from Trinity on my other bearings.

Racers at my track make fun of my Cuda...wait until they race more against it. They didn't take too highly of a 3 year old yoke doing it...hehe...they'll need 20lb test line to catch up with it...

The guys at SoCal definately dont make fun of the R2, a lot of the top drivers for their class are running the car, and it does show what it's made of

They just like their TC3s here...I bet I finished every race last winter but one with my yoke...I don't crash very much, that's my fault, and avoid the others...they break all of the time...can't win races you don't finish.

The TC3's definately arent as popular as they used to be out here, a lot of people have switched over to other cars. Losi/Tamiya/Alex are becoming just as common...
