The year was 1986 or so....car, was a Tamiya HOTSHOT, Option Parts from .....something from Japan, a center shaft with a DIFF.....I brought it cause it is an option.........does not make my HOTSHOT run faster or better, same as before.
I believed at 1 time I saw the exact same option (a shaft with a diff) for HPI Pro 4........forgot where, but of course, everyone knows that the 3rd diff does not work or serve no use....
This is belt driven, so i don't know is there any different then Shaft car....

In relationship to a real car our RC cars have plenty of slip. If you run a one way diff you have the same effect as a center diff in a real car when turning (front wheels do more revolutions as the rear ones) but mantaining full power at acceleration. 1/8 on road doesn't need them and touring cars neither.
When you accelerate you weight shifts to the rear thus unloading the front wheels. With this car the power will go most to the front becouse of the diff.

I would say that is a Xray05 with Tamiya/HPI knuckles and TRF shocks...why EP innovation on the thread?
