I hear you BUT......That is money well spent. I was getting sick and tired of replacing spurs. If I was to add up all the time it took to replace the 10 or so spur gears because of rocks getting in there I would have to say I've got about 3 hours at least. Don't sound like much because that is time spread out, but changing spurs and re setting mesh are my least favorite things to do on the mini 8ight lol!

The pinion and a piece of the bar just broke off. You guys think the 3 s LIpO gave the car to much torque? Is it fixable or do I need a new motor? It was the stock motor. Thank you.

The DP spur gear didn't fit well at all for me. It wouldn't seat all the way down until I dremel'd of the bottoms on either side of the spur. If you put in a different pinion you will have to dremel for that too. The thing that broke it for me was that there was not a longer screw included for the ball that the body clip goes in at the back and there wasn't a slot machined in the top of the cover like there was in the top brace to keep the ball in one position. So if I wanted to use the DP cover I couldn't use the body clip in the rear.
Good concept, half-way implementation. I learned.

he was asking about the team associated prolite 4x4. Maybe hot racing sells steel spurs for those though.
